Wappan is one of Australia's most scenic sheep and cattle stations(16,000 merino sheep and 350 cattle) situated in the heart of the High Country, where the "Man from Snowy River" was filmed.
Wappan is only two hours from Melbourne, right on the shores of Lake Eildon with views of Australia's premier ski resort, Mt Buller. At high water level Lake Eildon is one of Australia's largest freshwater lakes stretching almost 500km, much of it is only accessible by boat.
This property has been owned by the Tehans for five generations. All five generations have proudly contributed to transforming this once run down property into one of the most efficient and productive in Victoria.
Wappan Station offers a range of activities including walking, boating, viewing farm operations or just relaxing in style. Nearby High Country trails are ideal for horse riding and bushwalking and the year around ski resort of Mount Buller is a convenient fifty minutes away.

Wappan Cottage - have just recently been renovated, it is tastefully decorated and offers heating, open fires, & polished floorboards throughout. 'Wappan' cottage is very spacious with views of Lake Eildon. The main bedroom has a queen bed with ensuite. The second bedroom also has a queen bed. Two bedrooms are twin share and the fifth bedroom has a set of bunks. There is also a double bed in the kitchen/living area which also has a wood heater. The second living/dining room has an open fire place. The house has two bathrooms and three showers.

Please read the following terms and conditions on renting our holiday homes.
Deposit: Confirmation of booking is made once 50% of tariff is received.
Balance of Payment: made payable 1 week prior to check-in date.
Full Payment: required for bookings less than 21 days in advance of use.
Bond Payable: $500.00 on authorised credit card imprint held for 7 days after check out. The imprint will be destroyed upon confirmation that all is well at the rented property.
Our cancellation policy: Full refund if the house is re-let. More than 30 days notice half of deposit refunded. Less than 30 days, no refund.
Credit Card: facility is available in the office. A fee of 2% of payment will be charged.
